Hand-made Tie Tack Collection
by K. Manabe

Fossil

   Ammonite   Dinosaur's egg shell

   Shell   Amber with an insect

I bought these fossiles in museum shops. Dinosaur's egg shell is coated by epoxy.

  Dinosaur's bone

I did not make this myself. I bought this at a mall in Maryland. On the serface, there is a line drawing of a sailing ship.

Electric parts

  Cristal   IC(NAND Circuit)

These were in my parts box. To reduce cost of equipment for my research, sometimes I need to make interface board using these parts.

Stone

When we visited Eno river at Durham in North Carolina, my son collected a lot of small stones. He brushed those stones up by a Rock tumbler. It may be a good idea to make a tie tack using stones that were corrected in a place where you visited.

Other

  Shell   Like a lure head

  Rosewood   Amber with Pias

Rosewood was very hard to cut. I wasted some discs of electric drill to cut a small piece of rosewood. Amber was a part of my wife's neckless. After the string of the neckless was broken, I got some amber balls and cut balls in half. A cross on the amber was also from my wife. She lost one of the pair that I had given her.
